Current developer Gearbox <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thinq.co.uk\/2011\/03\/24\/duke-nukem-forever-gets-one-last-delay#\" style=\"text-decoration: underline !important; font-family: inherit !important; font-weight: inherit !important; font-size: inherit !important;\"><span style=\"color: #000000 !important; font-family: inherit !important; font-weight: inherit !important; font-size: inherit !important;\">Software<\/span><\/a> told fans not to worry, however, and promised to finish its development and deliver something that would be worth the wait.<\/p>\n<p>The title was originally developed by 3D Realms, which announced the project in 1997.
