Yesterday, I was able to\u00c2\u00a0 to get django, installed with mysql support.\u00c2\u00a0 I used several websites to get it working right.<\/p>\n

1) i installed mysql (64bit) from the official builds on mysql.com<\/p>\n

2) i installed virtualenv from setuptools. I typed the following:<\/p>\n

$ sudo easy_install virtualenv<\/p>\n

3)\u00c2\u00a0 I created directory for my virtual environment for python by typing following:<\/p>\n

$ virtualenv -v mydjango<\/p>\n

4)\u00c2\u00a0 Downloaded mysql python module from http:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/mysql-python\/files\/<\/a> placed it in mydango directory.<\/p>\n

5) in the shell, i went into mydango directory.<\/p>\n

6)\u00c2\u00a0 I then activated the virtualized python envirtonment<\/p>\n

7) I then\u00c2\u00a0 compiled\u00c2\u00a0 mysql driver by typing the following<\/p>\n

$ ARCHFLAGS=”-arch x86_64″ python setup.py build<\/p>\n

8)\u00c2\u00a0 installed the driver. typed the following<\/p>\n

$ python setup.py install<\/p>\n

9)\u00c2\u00a0 I downloaded django and placed it in mydango directory<\/p>\n

10) Installed django by typing<\/p>\n

$ python setup.py install<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
