I never really spoken about this . \u00c2\u00a0About 30 years ago, It happened to me on a MTA bus in Brooklyn. \u00c2\u00a0Luckily, nothing violent happened because of it. \u00c2\u00a0I still remember parts of what happened. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t remember the exact details. I believe we were coming back from Bensonhurst back to Bay Ridge. \u00c2\u00a0Basically, some white teenagers were verbally abusing us and especially me. they used words like\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u0153chink\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u0153gook\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. \u00c2\u00a0It was \u00c2\u00a0scary and humiliating at the same time. \u00c2\u00a0I was scared shitless. \u00c2\u00a0I think subconsiously \u00c2\u00a0it made me feel that I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t belong here in this country. ( \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t an American.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d) \u00c2\u00a0In many ways, I moved on from this. \u00c2\u00a0However, it still haunts me. \u00c2\u00a0Everyday , I see the news it haunts me.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I want to send my condolences to the families of those who defended the muslim victims in Portland.
