I keep on thinking about the future of what We should do in Iraq. There is a part of me that really wants us to pull out of Iraq. I am angry at how badly the this war and post war has been poorly planned and executed. What saddens me is that the poor planning has caused injury and death of many american soldiers. () The fiscal cost involved in occupying Iraq is just too much. It is putting the american budget out of wack and contributing to the budget deficit. All this makes me want to leave Iraq. However, I don’t like the other choice of leaving Iraq.
Leaving Iraq might lead something equally disastrous. I have a bad feeling exit american troops will lead to a Iraq that is similiar to Afghanistan in the 1990’s. During that time, there was a massive civil war. This made it a hotbed for al-queda training. Also, it could lead to greater influence of islamists influence in the middle east. The presence of American troops does allow for a low level of stability in iraq.
It is crazy we are now reduced to a series of bad choices and consequences in iraq. neither is really good. it should not have come to this….
